The CUHK & Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) Hepatology Team participated in the EASL Congress 2026 held in Barcelona, Spain, from 27–30 May 2026. Members of the Medical Data Analytic Centre (MDAC) actively contributed to the congress through invited lectures, scientific presentations and research dissemination, showcasing the team's latest achievements in hepatology research.

We are proud to share several highlights from the meeting, including invited talks by Professors Vincent Wong and Grace Wong, an oral presentation by Professor Terry Yip, and a prestigious poster award received by Professor Jimmy Lai.

4. Professor Terry Yip delivered an oral presentation of the team's latest study on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) surveillance after hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) seroclearance.
   
5. Professor Jimmy Lai was awarded the Top Poster Award at EASL Congress 2026 Barcelona for his study, “Prognostic Performance of Liver Stiffness Changes in Patients with Biopsy-Proven Cirrhosis Secondary to Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis.”
